Placeholder wording. This describes our setup accurately, but the final legal text should still be reviewed before launch.
This Privacy Policy explains how caskcode (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects information when you visit this website.
Information we collect#
We aim to collect as little personal data as possible.
We use cookieless analytics (PostHog) to understand aggregate website usage — which pages are visited, where visitors arrive from, and which calls-to-action are used. This sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device; visits are counted using a privacy-preserving value computed on the provider’s servers that cannot be traced back to you (see our Cookie Policy for details). We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and improving the site.
We also record the approximate location of a visit — country and region only, never a city or coordinates. This is derived on our own infrastructure from the network address your request arrives on; that address is then discarded and is never shared with our analytics provider. As above, nothing is stored on your device to do this.
Our analytics provider, PostHog, processes this data as our processor on EU infrastructure. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
