Placeholder wording. This describes the technical setup accurately, but the final legal text should still be reviewed before launch.

This Cookie Policy explains how and when caskcode uses cookies on this website.

We use no cookies for analytics#

This website uses privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics (PostHog). It does not store cookies, local storage, or any other identifier on your device for analytics, advertising, or tracking. Because nothing is stored on your device, there is no cookie banner to accept or reject — there is nothing to consent to.

Instead of identifying you with a cookie, our analytics provider counts visits using a privacy-preserving value computed on its servers from your IP address and browser type, combined with a secret that is rotated daily and then discarded. This value cannot be traced back to you, is not used to identify you across days, and is never linked to any account.

Only strictly necessary cookies (if any) are used to make the site work; these are not used to track you.

Approximate location#

We record the country and region a visit comes from, so we can see which markets our website reaches. This is worked out by our own servers from the network address your request arrives on, and only the country and region are kept — never a city, never coordinates, and never the address itself. Your network address is not passed on to our analytics provider at all.

Because this is worked out on our side and nothing is written to your device, there is nothing here for you to accept or reject either.

What we measure, and why#

We measure aggregate usage — which pages are visited, where visitors arrive from, the country and region they arrive from, and which calls-to-action (such as opening a product’s Atlassian Marketplace listing) are used. This helps us understand what’s useful and improve the site. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and improving the website, and the data is processed in the EU.
